SHIATSU
In ancient Asian philosophy, energy (or chi or ki or prana) flows along pathways in the body that are called meridians. When there is a storm and a tree falls into a stream, it blocks and creates distortions in the flow of water.
Similarly, when there is an event (often emotional) in your life that has not been addressed and released, it can cause chronic discomfort, pain and illness.
By working with the energy in the meridians, the practitioner unblocks stagnant energy and brings energy to areas that are depleted. Moving about the receiver's body applying pressure to, as well as stretching the meridians, her focus is to balance the energy so that the meridians are functioning optimally.

REIKI
Reiki is an ancient and simple system of "laying on of hands" healing. It uses universal energy that is available to everyone. The practitioner channels the healing energy to the client by placing her hands near or on different areas of the receiver's body. Go to http://www.reiki.org for more information.
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) was pioneered and developed by osteopath physician John E. Upledger.
CST uses a gentle, hands-on way to evaluate and enhance a physiological body system called the craniosacral system, made up of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch, the practitioner releases restrictions to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
